Phylicia Pough:Hey friend. Welcome to another episode of Harmonious Mompreneur. I am thrilled to be back with you on the mic, behind the mic, having this conversation with you.
It's been maybe about a month or so since I've released a solo episode and so I wanted to just come in, give you updates about what's happening in life and in business. Actually was going to do a different episode and my spirit kind of paused me on that so I can do some more work on it.
And so I'm here just giving you some updates and I'm excited because I'm actually recording this in real time the day that it's going to be released. And both of my kids happen to be napping right now, which is very rare.
So for context, I have a 20 month old son and then my daughter, she's going to be four next month at the time of this podcast release. And my older child, she never takes a nap, but the past few days she's been napping and so I'm a little bit excited that they're both napping.
But anyway, here to give you some updates. I've been away, I want to share kind of what's just been happening and catch you guys up.
Now, I will say that the email community has already gotten some of these updates.
The email community is my primary connection and community source and so they get all of the details first, they get all of the information in real time. So if you really, really want to be connected Harmonious Mompreneur, make sure that you are in the email community.
If you want to join, you can go to harmoniousmom.com connect or you can click the link in the show description. Okay, so why did I take A break. Where have I been? I have been in my email community, but haven't really been on social media.
And so back in June, towards the top of June, literally the first two weeks in June, my husband was away for two weeks. This is a trip that he takes every summer. And so I was solo parenting for those two weeks.
And you know, obviously since it's just me, I had a heavier load. And so I did plan while he was away to travel to Philly. That's where I'm from. That's where all of my family is.
I have five siblings, my mom is still there, my in laws are there. And so I decided that while he was away, I would take a trip to Philly just to have a little bit more support. And so I did that.
You know, the kids went to their grandparents for the weekend, but still during that time, you know, travel takes work. Solo parenting takes more work. And my capacity shifted, you know, my normal capacity that I would have and my normal routine was disrupted a bit.
And so during that time, I just allowed myself the space and the grace as well to just be present with my kids and be present with my family. And so I spent time with my sisters, my brothers, and the kids got to see their grandparents.
So that was the first two weeks of June, and then immediately after that, the second half of June, me and my family, my husband and the kids, we went to South Carolina for two weeks to visit my dad.
So South Carolina is literally, well, I'll say the Carolinas, because I like Charlotte and my dad kind of lives like in South Carolina outside of Charlotte. But this is like my place of peace. And I really just wanted to be present during those two weeks. Some of my siblings came down at different times.
So again, I really just wanted to be present with my family during this time. And so I did that. And I made the decision that I would stop putting a lot of pressure on myself to produce in the business.
And I just gave myself that space to just be and to rest. Even though, you know, if you're around your kids.
Well, at least for me, if I'm around my kids, I'm still always kind of like the default that they go to. But I was in a peaceful place for me. I was able to get out, do some other things. And so it was really good. It was a really good trip.
So basically all of June was consumed with family stuff. And so during this time that I was less present in my business, it gave me that space to think.
Like I mentioned, I stopped pressuring myself to and I really gained some clarity around what I wanted this business to look like and how I wanted to serve. Honestly, there had been for the past couple of weeks, prior to me going away, there had been, you know, something was missing.
There was a disconnect for me. And I love talking about business systems, I love talking about client experience, but again, something was still missing.
This year, I did start talking more about life systems and how you needed to incorporate those in as well. But I hadn't fully mapped out how I could serve clients in that space. And so there was this gap for me in how I was serving.
But because I gave myself that space to think, to rest, that gap is closing. And I'm really excited about what this next season is going to look like for this brand and for this business.
And so just a couple of updates that have happened over the past few weeks.
ust for some context, back in: nd it was April of this year,:But then it kind of felt like the business was disjointed because the podcast was Harmonious mompreneur. But then the business was the Mom CEO Suite. And for me, it started to feel confusing.
It might just be because of the way that I think, but it started to feel a little disconnected for me, and that affected how I showed up. And so, you know, I just made the decision that, okay, everything is going to go under Harmonious mompreneur.
You know, the podcast and all of my services will be under Harmonious Mompreneur. And so because I made that decision, I had to make a lot of updates. I had to secure the domain name, I had to update stuff on the website.
I had to update email sequences, social media links, my CRM. I had to update a lot of things. And so I spent the second half of June and the beginning of July doing those things.
And I'm still doing some minor things. I did most of the major things that I needed to do in order to kind of move forward and start resurfacing back into promotion.
But, yes, I decided to sunset the Mom CEO Suite. And so now the brand lives at the domain harmoniousmom.com so I chose harmoniousmom.com because it's just easier to say when I'm here on the podcast.
It's a little bit shorter than Harmonious Mompreneur, but if you go to harmoniousmompreneur.com, it does redirect. And I'm just excited about that shift. I also decided that I'm going to shift into learning how to get corporate contracts in my business.
So for me, the online space the past few years have started to feel, I don't know the exact word, but it didn't feel 100% aligned. It started to feel a little bit fluffy. And my background before I came into the online space is more so in that corporate.
I won't say super corporate, but more like I understand the 9 to 5 office setting life. Previously, I've worked in a property management company and I've also worked in accounting at a nonprofit.
And that's where my experience started in the whole workforce. And then I transitioned into the online space.
But for me, I was starting to feel the need to go back to something that felt more substantive, something that felt just less fluffy. And I just wanted different conversations. And so I invested in a program that's going to help me learn how to get corporate contracts.
And that's something that I'll share the journey about that as I kind of get deeper into it throughout the rest of this year and next year as well. Another thing that I've been working on behind the scenes is really refining my entire offer ecosystem. Some people might call it an offer suite.
And so again, when I gave myself this space to rest and think, I was able to put all of my thoughts, all of my experience into a framework. And I created the Harmony by Design framework. And this is going to inform and guide how I interact with all of my clients moving forward.
And it's really a holistic approach.
It's not just for business, it's not just for your personal life, but it's designed to help mom entrepreneurs shift from survival mode into sustainable work life integration through the design of systems, rhythms and support that honors both their business and their real life. And so over the next couple of episodes I am going to break down the framework. So I am very excited to share that with you.
But that the having this framework is really kind of the core of where all of my offers are stemming from. Now, yes, I am shifting my main offer and I'm about to share what that's going to be In a second.
And then all of the other things that I've been offering historically, like my system Sprint or my workflow work session, those will be things that are more so downsells or that I'll be selling behind the scenes or through referrals. But the main thing that I will be offering is this new offer which I am crafting right now, which is the Harmony by Design VIP day.
The VIP day is designed to take you through my framework, which is a six step framework to help you get to that place where you have sustainable work life integration. And so we walk through the six phases of the framework and it's very personalized, it's very high touch, it's one on one.
And so what I'm doing with this as I'm crafting it and refining it, I'm doing an alpha round and I'm doing a beta round to really refine, get feedback on the process before I do a whole entire sales page for my website. You know, right now the sales page is in a Google Doc and I'm offering it to the alpha and beta rounds at ridiculous rates.
And so I'm really excited about the VIP day again. When the next episode releases, you'll get more details about that VIP day as well. Another thing that I've shifted is my lead magnets.
I recently made the decision that I'm not creating any more freebies. And so my lead magnet is literally going to be this podcast, but I'll also have podcast playlists.
And so the main podcast playlist that I will be promoting is called the Harmony Shift, A Mompreneur's guide to work life Integration that lasts.
And so this will be a curation of podcast episodes from Harmonious Mompreneur that really helps to shift your mindset from the idea of work life balance into work life integration. It will take you through the framework and really position you to start taking action towards that. And so I'm excited about the Harmony shift.
And then I'm also going to be revamping my private podcast, Harmony no Hustle, which gives you more tangible, actionable steps with the framework that you can implement on your own. And then of course, the Harmony by Design VIP day that is working with me one on one to go through the framework.
And you want to think of it as like a deep guided audit and redesign of your systems, your rhythms, your support structures so that you can have that work life integration that lasts, but without burnout, without toxic hustle. And so that's kind of what my ecosystem is looking like that's what it'll look like on the front end.
Again, of course I will still be offering the system Sprint and workflow work sessions, but those will be more behind the scenes offers. And so this is what I have been working on and I feel like it's taken me a long time to get to this place of feeling really good about an offer.
I'm putting more work on the front end with this offer and ecosystem than I have with anything else I've offered in the business before.
And it just really feels more aligned because it is dealing with the whole person and not just your business systems, but also your business, your life, your rhythms, your support, like literally all the things, your mindset as well.
And as I think through how I am going to serve through this framework and the offers that are associated with it, I get really excited about the, the breakthroughs and the transformations that are going to happen. It gets me very excited and even just a little bit overwhelmed in a good way because it's going to be life changing.
It's going to be life changing and so that's what I have been working on. I'm slowly kind of getting back into social media.
You know, when I'm in creation mode, I don't really like to consume a lot, I like to clear the noise and I don't really like to be influenced by other things that I'm seeing. So, you know, I've taken a step back from social media listening to podcasts.
I've been unsubscribing from emails just to create mental, mental space for myself. So I'm really excited. In the next episode, like I mentioned, I am going to be sharing parts of the framework.
I'm going to break it up into two or three episodes where I'm breaking down and unpacking the framework for you and giving you some actionable steps that you can take immediately to apply that to your life. So definitely stay tuned.
And again, like I mentioned, if you want to stay up to date in real time with things that are happening, you want to make sure you get into the email community. Go to harmoniousmom.com connect to join the email community. I want to hear your updates though, so find me on Instagram Alicia Pugh.
It's linked in the show notes and let me know what you have been up to. It's summertime. How are you coping with the kids being home? If they're home, you know what's happening in your business? Tell me all the things.
I love having conversations.
I recently had a connect call with somebody that I've been connected with for a few years, but the past maybe year or so we hadn't really been in touch. And having those conversations is just so refreshing.
So when I say I want to hear from you, I really, really want to hear from you, shoot me a DM on Instagram and let's chat. I will see you in the next episode. Thanks for listening. Hey friend.
